Frittenden Pre-school can offer the following Early Years Education.
Currently all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours free education per week from the term after their 3rd birthday. This funding covers the 38 weeks of the school year. From September 2017 a Government scheme entitles some eligible working families to 30 hours free education for 3 and 4 year olds.
Free for 2 Funding– This scheme is available to eligible children in the term after their 2nd birthday.
This funding is for children;
• who are looked after by the LA
• who are no longer looked after by the LA as a result of an adoption order, a special guardianship order or residence order
• who have a current statement of special educational needs(SEN), or have an education, health and care plan
• whose parents receive specific benefits
Due to the rising costs of running our small preschool, we have implemented a voluntary contribution scheme. This completely voluntary contribution of 50p is added to every 3 hour session. So for example, if your child attends for 5 sessions (15 hours), you would contribute £2.50 per week. This money really helps us by going towards purchasing healthy snacks, glue sticks, paper, paints, craft materials and new resources for the children. The voluntary contribution is calculated and added to your child’s invoice which you receive at the start of every term.
As a small parent run committee preschool we rely heavily on the kindness of our families and local community to keep open. Thank you.
Our fees are currently £5 per hour. This cost is charged to children before they reach funding age or to those who have taken their 15 hours funding elsewhere.
