Spring Term

Terms 3 and 4 

Welcome back and Happy 2025. We start this term on Monday 6th January, we have one new starter this term and some children changing times and days and so we welcome you all back with excitement for the new year.

As always we will be following the children’s interests and creating lots of opportunities to learn through play.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch – 24th – 26th January – we will be taking part in this at preschool and your welcome to do it at home too, this is a lovely opportunity for the children to learn about the bird species and to take note of the ones living in their garden.

Lunar New Year – 29th January – We will be celebrating Chinese New Year all week, its important children learn about all the different cultures from around the world, we’ll be trying Chinese foods, learning how to use chopsticks which is great for fine motor skills, creating lanterns, dragons and so much more.

Valentines Day – 14th February – We will be celebrating Valentines Day all week in the run up to half term, creating valentines inspired crafts and activities.

We break up for half term on Friday 14th February

We return for term 4 on Monday 24th February

Pancake Day – 4th March 

First Day of Spring – 20th March – Our subject focus for Term 4 will be spring and the joys that come with lighter days, blossoming flowers and the beginning of warmer weather.

Mothers Day – 30th March – Lots of lovely secret creations will be being made in the run up to mothers day.

End of Term is Friday 4th April 

We return for Term 5 on Tuesday 22nd April 

Easyfundraising

We have signed up to Easyfundraising, a free fundraising platform that allows us to earn money when we all shop online. With over 7000 retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S, Boots and Booking.com just to mention a few, there really is something for everyone!
